Here at Third Partners, we are big coffee drinkers. Coffee, of course, has many impacts – social, economic, and environmental. We’ve found that there are many brands of great-tasting coffee that are also fair trade and responsibly grown.

But some people still actively choose to make mediocre coffee with an overly-complicated Keurig machine that squirts water through a metal and plastic container filled with ground coffee. And then they throw the trash away—wet grounds, plastic, and metal foil mixed together—all to take up space in a landfill.

With Keurig, you get poor taste and increased waste.
